ESC volunteering
Discover the volunteering opportunities offered by the ESC (European Solidarity Corps)! This international program for young people provides development through cooperation and a genuine community experience.
ESC önkéntesség
Our Foundation has been involved in hosting both domestic and international volunteers since 2001. Volunteers play an important role in our work, as they positively influence our colleagues and clients, shape our way of thinking, and contribute new perspectives and ideas to the Foundation’s diverse environment. In addition, ESC volunteers are required by the program to implement an independent project during their volunteering period, based on their own skills and interests. This provides not only meaningful experiences for our youngsters, but also promotes the volunteers’ personal development through self-expression and cooperation..
The ESC is a European Union-funded program that offers young people aged 18–30 the opportunity to participate in community projects in various European countries for a period of 2–12 months. During the program, volunteers become involved in the work of civil organizations, where they can gain practical experience in social responsibility and awareness-raising.
The application process can be completed through the ESC program website, where after registration participants can search for and choose a partner organization. Those interested in volunteering at our Foundation may also apply directly to us, see below.
The ESC program offers volunteering opportunities in many different fields, including social care, environmental protection, education, cultural projects, youth centers, and foundation work. More information can be found on the website.
Participants learn to cooperate within the community of their chosen organization, which helps develop independence and adaptability. Hosting international volunteers also provides opportunities to practice foreign language skills.
